Eritrean Misfits -Hooliganism at its Worst!

Although it should not surprise anyone anymore that some “Eritreans” were carrying placards that stated, “We support Jendayi Frazer’s” designation of Eritrea as a terrorism sponsoring state, I simply could not understand how low these “begamindo”s can go when, I heard yesterday that one of them has physically assaulted one of the participants in the recently held Seattle public forum allegedly for being a government supporter. Folks, if these are the street demonstrators and cyber warriors, who inundate us on how democratic they were; and all they wanted was the implementation of “Democratic values” in Eritrea, who needs “Autocratic rule” when we have such phony and criminal elements amongst us walking the streets of the West? Can you imagine what these people would contemplate doing if they ever get the opportunity to do so?

For sometime now, these opportunist sellouts have been trying to intimidate and disrupt the majority of Eritreans' who wanted to participate in the ongoing “hzbawi meKete” here in the United States. They have even gone as far as warning with unspecified violence to some American institutions if they allow their facility to be used by the law abiding Eritrean American community. Sadly, these lost souls may take this act of banditry as some sort of worthwhile accomplishment that would put them and their evil designs in the limelight. Yes, they would be in the limelight alright, the limelight of hopeless criminals whose actions could not be tolerated by the laws of the United States even if they compete for the ignominious honor as who might be the most loyal and obedient servant of Dr. Jendayi Frazer.

Last September, it is to be recalled that, these souls who have lost their identity and sense of purpose, have caught us unprepared when they warned the church parish with some unspecified threat against it should the church allow us to use its facility for which the church had previously agreed. When the church pleaded with us to find an alternative meeting place, stating that they were afraid for the security of their facility and personnel, one way would have been for us to ignore their plea and take them to task using our inalienable legal rights. But, because the notice given to us was in the eleventh hour of our scheduled meeting, we simply decided to overlook the issue of the church’s reported “Threat” as the main culprits were indeed some of our “wedini”’s who have been cursed by their mothers dead or alive. Of course, we have the names of the “Cheer leaders” of the Weyane stooges as it were, whose unsigned letter to the church with a copy to “Home Security” was meant to scare the Seattle residents of “deqi Halal meriet”! Talk about stupidity and arrogance. Do these people know that the US Department of Home Security has nothing better to do than following up a baseless and concocted allegation to suit some ulterior motives?

I can’t help but get reminded of a book, I once read “Only a Mother Can Love” such a child by Benjamin Polis. You know Eritrea cares for all her nationals including these lost souls. But, wouldn’t you say that there has got to be a limit to what kind of magnanimity these people are allowed? Who would have thought that they will try one more time to deny the Eritrean Americans their right to use a public place of their choice? Well, think again, for that is precisely what they attempted to do for last Saturday’s public forum. However, this time we were prepared for them. We were prepared not only to exercise our legal right for the use of the facility, but to expose them for what they are – a bunch of cowardly, hateful and rumor mongering individuals who are basically working against the interest of their people. Not surprisingly, their repeated and frantic attempts to have the facility denied to us by maliciously slandering us and our government, was an utter and dismal failure. Apparently that added up to one more source of their untenable frustrations of their unwarranted belligerence against their own people which they openly manifested by one of them striking a person who was seating in his car still strapped by the vehicle’s seatbelt; and showed his cowardice by fleeing the crime sight!

Needless to say the victim will not be intimidated by the activities of the perpetuator and his cohorts; and as usual, he stands firmly behind his people and government. As to the actions of the sellouts’ comrades in crime, the law will catch up with him for he has no where to hide.

Eritrea prevails not because of, but in spite of her bad apples!
